In the early 1930’s, Sam Campbell, known as the “Philosopher of the Forest” began a radio program called “The Sanctuary Hour” that was broadcast over the airways on several Chicago radio stations. Later, it was also broadcast from Rhinelander, Wisconsin.
This recording seems to be from one of Sam’s lyceums where he is talking about his island and Northwoods friends.
This recording is from a “The Sanctuary Hour” broadcast. In Sam Campbell’s book “Nature’s messages” he tells this story about a young fawn. Listen in, as Sam tells the story entitled “Bobbie bides a Wee”.
